Best Goa Games You Can Play on Your Vacation

If I think of my vacation, Goa immediately springs to mind. Famous for its beautiful beaches, lively nightlife, and a variety of cuisines and attractions, Goa offers both leisure time recreation experience and a break from the hustle of normal life. Among the variety of experiences I have, Goa games are indeed the most fascinating for my trips. So, in what follows, we will share the top Goa games and activities that will make your holiday memorable and add to the experience.

Your Next Vacation: Why Goa?

Ahead of heading into any video games, let us establish why Goa is no ordinary vacation. Hiding off the western coast of India, Goa is not just a place to be at beach. This exotic setting combines Portuguese influence with beautiful hills and a free spirit that makes it a paradise for travelers. The best time to visit Goa is between November and February, when the weather is briskly cold, a time ideal for outdoor activities.

1. Goa Games to Play to Get Excited

But here are some best-to-try games and activities you can get away with while soaking up the Goan sun.

There are few things say fun like playing Beach Volleyball and hanging out with your friends and co-travelers. Baga and Anjuna Beach sandy beaches are two widely used spots where nets are widely installed. You can either join a game or start one of your own. It’s so great to get fit and it’s an ideal place for socializing with locals and tourists.

2. Goan Scavenger Hunt

And the way exploration is uniquely made fun of? A Goan Scavenger Hunt can be one of the entertaining stuff that you can do on your holiday vacation. You can select a list of local artifacts by themselves or join a pre-set hunt scheduled from local tour operators. It is a fun way to find hidden places and learn about the Goan culture!

3. Water Sports Extravaganza

If you’re a thrill seeker like myself, the water sports in Goa is going to make you feel good. There are several activities like jet skiing, parasailing and banana boat rides along the coastlines. For me, the best is the sight of the Arabian Sea in a boat; you can look around you, see the views above.

  • Jet Skiing: Get to wave and zip through the waves.
  • Banana Boating: Pick your friends for a hilarious ride as the boat continues its ride through the waves.
  • Scuba Diving & Snorkeling: Goa can offer a safe spot to dive under the stunning coral reefs of Grande Island for adventure-seekers.

4. Traditional Goan Games

Goan games! I think that if you want to really get to know the local culture, why not attempt a few traditional Goan games? Some of the games that can be played indoors are at home that are both nostalgic and fun for locals:

  • Carrom: A fun, easy to learn, family game and a tough for the uninitiated.
  • Ludo: Played mostly with friends, especially among the kids at family gatherings.
  • Gully Cricket: An ideal method to connect with locals. Take a bat, pick yourself up, and stick around when you see any kids playing in the streets.

5. Karaoke Nights

The nightlife is alive in Goa when the sun goes down. I go to karaoke bars for nights. Singsong with friends and fellow travelers makes memories that never go slowly and always bring a lot of laughs. You could get ready and go out for an evening filled with amazing music and fun when enjoying great food and drinks, such as those enjoyed at places like Cape Town Cafe and Shamrock.

6. Casino Games

Think of taking your luck on vacation? Goa has a wealth of casinos, many onshore and offshore, with many casinos to enjoy traditional games, including poker, blackjack and roulette. All-in-one entertainment with live entertainment along with live shows and gourmet restaurants at places such as Deltin Royale have become a key theme park where you’ll get the high quality entertainment for you to enjoy.

Exploring Activities in Goa Beyond the Game

Games are a great way to kick back and enjoy Goa; however, there is a plethora of activities, which are in fact to avoid for sure. For many you have plenty of ideas and are interested in them only.

7. Yoga and Wellness Retreats

The peaceful conditions in Goa make it an amazing place to do yoga and meditative yoga sessions. To catch some peace around the peaceful beaches, I’m always off to practice early morning yoga. Many retreats such as Purple Valley and Ashiyana Yoga have full relaxation and wellness programs offered as well with full program activities.

8. Night Markets and Flea Markets

But as it descends evening, busy night markets at Goa come to life. Places such as the Anjuna Flea Market and Arpora Saturday Night Market are ideal opportunities to shop, have a taste of local seafood, and catch live music. I’m always intrigued by the vibrant atmosphere, from handmade artisans to quirky clothes.

9. Exploring Heritage Sites

Goa is more than just beaches; it’s also a world of beautiful architecture with a world of history. Anyone hoping to explore the cultural heritage should head to the Basilica of Bom Jesus and Sé Catedral. Not only do these historical sites deepen your knowledge of Goa, they also give a slight historical flavor to your vacation.

10. Spice Plantation Tours

Among the great spice plantations of Goa you will find many beautiful varieties. This tour of spice plantations like Sahakari Spice Farm or Savoi Plantation is very highly recommended. In the midst of lush greenery and a traditional Goan meal, you’ll discover spices and herbs.
